Popular Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has opened up about her separation from her ex-husband, Saheed Olarewaju, popularly known as Jago, revealing the rumors that contributed to their marital breakdown. In a recent interview on Wasila Coded TV, co-hosted by fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya disclosed that a friend allegedly misled her ex-husband with false claims about her intentions.
According to Odusanya, this friend suggested that she was planning to leave Jago to pursue a life of prostitution and accused her of having an affair with a senator. “I was shocked when he told me that a friend of mine had said I wanted to leave him to sleep with a senator,” she recounted.
The actress explained that these damaging rumors significantly strained their relationship. However, she was able to provide her ex-partner with proof to refute the allegations, including a timestamped video showing her location at the time the rumors were circulated. “God gave me grace because I recorded the time and date on my phone when we got to where we would sleep,” she shared.
Reflecting on the aftermath of their split, Odusanya revealed the financial difficulties she faced. “After we separated, I had less than N10,000 in my account. I felt lost; all my jewelry had been taken away, and I fainted at the thought of where to begin. I cried so much that day because I didn’t even have enough money for accommodation,” she admitted.
Odusanya’s candid revelations shed light on the challenges she has faced during this difficult period, emphasizing her resilience as she navigates life after separation.
